Charlea: Building Toby, week 1 The people who were building our robot with us were Liam B, Chloe and Ally as well as the rest of our group. We made a lot of mistakes with our robot but in the end it turned out really well. Ally and I started off building the robot on the first day. We made good progess and finished off the first couple of pages. Then we handed it over to Chole and Jade. Throughout the first day we had finished the first 6 pages. On the second day of building Liam and Monique worked on it for a little bit and then Jade, Ally and I finshed off the body. We started on the head and it was fun seeing what parts go where and how much you have to concerntrate on the project. By the time that we had to finish building our robot we only had to finish the arm so one lunch time we had to go up to passive play and finish it.
Monique: week 1
I really enjoyed working together as a group to build Toby.
Jade: Buliding Toby Week 2
After we built the head we didn't really finish in time so we had to stay back a coulple of lunches and finish making our robot. We were up to the arm and had to go up to passive play and finish. We really didn't want to waist our lunch time building but we knew we just had to finish that arm. There was a lot of talking, cooperapation and team work going into this stage because there was always something wrong with our robot's arm and it was mainly because the arm was the wrong way around but we knew we had to sort that out. Finally we powered through and got it finished with only a few minutes of our lunch to spare so we all went down and enjoyed the rest of our lunch.
Monique: Week 2
Im glad our groups worked together in the end to finish building Toby. At first we had alot of trouble mainly cause we weren't working together as a group and cooperating therefore there was a bit of commotion. It was such a releif to get Toby finished.

Monique: Computer, Week 6
To start off with we walked down to the library as normal ready to begin our 5th lesson. We had a bit of an idea of what we were doing but we really had to listen to Mrs Burns instructions. Charlea used the computer first, I was the robot handler and Jade was the recorder. Nobody in our group wanted to be the recorder because you just had to write what was happening in the group. I really enjoyed taking Toby down to the floor to examine his moves.
Monique: Pedestrian Challenge, Week 7
The pedestrian challenge was really hard. Firstly we had to work out how many seconds it would take to get from the first line to the second line. Then you could test Toby. Even if you made a mistake that was your first chance gone. On the second line was a row of lego people. If your robot hit one, then you didn't complete the challenge also if your robot did not make it to the other end then you did not complete the challenge either. You only got 3 chances to complete the challenge.
Jade week 8
This week we got givin a sheet with a list of tasks on it that we had to complete in the next few weeks. We had to complete 5 different dance moves and they were: 360 turn Snake Shimmy Sensor moves and Figure eight This week though we are basing it on the 360. It did'nt take too long to figure out how to do it and then we had to show mrs burns and we got a 5 out of 5. I was so proud of our group.
Monique week 8
I think our moves were a big success and we worked great together. Im really happy with our group.
Week 9
This week after the 360 turn we had to do the snake and it was so hard. We had to make it go back to the starting position as well which made it even harder but then we talked to Mrs Burns and told her that no matter how hard we tried we could never get the snake to go back to the same place so after that we only had to go forward instead of going back aswell. We only went half way back to see if we got extra points and we did. Because our snake went so smothley and came back a little bit we got a 6 out of 5. I was overwelmed and just so happy7 with our group that we got such good marks.
Week 9 part 2
We also got our shimmy done this week aswell which was a relife because then we only have to concor two more dance moves untill we are done. YAY. The shimmy was actually really easy to do but it did go a bit slow so we will have to make a different shimmy for our actual dance. We got another 5 out of 5 for this which was a relife because now we have aced every one so far. We started our next move and nearly got it done but unfortunatley we had a bit og trouble and did'nt have enough time but we had done such a great job in just one week so I was so proud of our group.
Week 2 Term 2
Today we started working on our sensors. Jade was the computer programmer and Monique was the robot handeler and I was the recorder.
Week 3 term 2
Monique: Today we started our dance. We have our music but toby had a spazem attack so we have to start again. Booo!
Jade: This week we have brought a new member Amelia. She has brang a lot of help
with her and we are very happy to have her in our group. This week we have started
our dance over again
Charlea: We have finally made it over 30 seconds.Yay!!! My group and I have been working very hard and it looks good so far. We have had some problems with our touch sensor, so we have been trying to work with out it. The song we have chosen is Feeling Hot Hot Hot. It is a very cool song with a great beat. We have added shimmy's, a snake and a 360 degrees turn to our dance and it looks great.
Amelia: I am now in group 4 and i am really happy with it. Today we are working on our dance and some things are going great though other things need improving. Charlea was away today so we all just worked together on the wiki and doing the robot handling and the computer. We have a great idea for our costume for the robot, its going to be like a disco theme. We are going to dress it in colourful clothing and using black wool to make an afro. I'm having a great time in my new group. We finally got the dance fixed and it looks great. We first start with a slow snake, then it goes into a shimmy, then Toby starts spinning around a few times. After that we got Toby to drive in a square. That was the start of the dance and that was around 30 seconds. We made more moves to the dance and so far we are up to a minute and 30 seconds. We are doing really well so far!!!
Monique: We have basically completed our dance but there are a few problems that need to be fixed. Our dance goes for a minute and 20 seconds. Obviously our song is feeling hot hot hot. I think the dance is really simple but it comes together really well. It wasn't hard to make the dance moves but to actually bring it together was a little hard. We only had a few problems throughout all our sesions of making the dance but over all I think Toby will put up a great performance tommorrow when were tested for our dance! :0 Im a bit nervous.

Amelia: I am now in group 4 and i am really happy with it. Today we are working on our dance and some things are going great though other things need improving.
